What Should I Expect?
At Knightstown Family Fellowship, we want you to feel welcome as soon as you walk in the door! We know what it’s like to visit a church, where everyone knows everyone and they know you’re the new kid on the block. It’s not exactly a fun, comfortable experience, is it? However, and this is a HUGE POSITIVE: at Knightstown Family Fellowship, EVERYONE is NEW!
Knightstown Family Fellowship is a brand new community of people, coming together with one common purpose: to encourage one another as we learn to walk closer to God on a daily basis.
We want you to be able to experience Bible studies that will equip you to face real struggles in real life; help you grow in knowledge and your understanding of who God and Jesus really are, and what our hope, based on the Bible, really is as a Christian; we want you to experience building new relationships with friendly people in an enjoyable and relaxed atmosphere that are a part of KFF.
And we totally understand, that the first time you visit us, you might have some questions like: What should I wear… what about my kids… what will I be doing?..... How long will it last? .....How do I get there?.....Is it for families only?
Here is a quick look at what you can expect at KFF:
What Should I wear? Wear what’s comfortable. We’re casual and relaxed, and we want you to be, too. Dress casually and you’ll fit right in.
What about my kids? We think what the kids are learning is just as important as what we grown-ups are learning! We’re a small group, but we think that will change quickly! When the adults are in lessons, we will provide free childcare while the children will play, interact and develop friendships that will enhance their own walk with Christ. When it’s the children’s turn to be taught, they will be taught by Leaders, Tony & Angela Moore. It will be an opportunity for parents and grandparents to become active participants in their teaching, and it will better equip you to continue your teaching at home, during the week. Parent-driven, servant-led. That’s our motto, and you can be as involved as you choose to be.
What will I be doing? And How Long will it last? We gather together in a very casual, comfortable environment, to open up our bibles, watch a brief DVD excerpt, followed by teaching & discussion time, led by Tony and Angela Moore, followed with some relaxed and easy socializing afterwards. We want to offer an environment where we can ask questions and search for answers in our Bibles. We want to get excited about God, His Son, and the Scriptures and the amazing impact it can have on our lives as we begin to grow in our knowledge and understanding of our hope as Believers, for today and for the age to come. Don't worry! You won’t have to talk, unless you want to. :-)
How Do I get there? Right now, we are meeting in our home located at 5734 West County Road 450 South, located just 1 1/4 mile west of Greensboro Pike, north of Knightstown & south of Greensboro; or located 1 1/4 miles east of Kennard Road, south of Kennard and north of Knightstown.--
Is it for families only? Even though Knightstown Family Fellowship has the word "Family" in it’s title, it’s not for families only. Whether you are young or just young at heart, single, married, single again, have children or not, no matter where you’ve been or what you’ve done, you will be welcome here! The FAMILY we are referring to is the ‘Family of God!’ The body of Christ or ‘the church’ becomes our family! It might sound sort of cliche, but people really do become like our brothers and sisters, when we share a common Heavenly Father! We all become like brothers and sisters when we are adopted sons and daughters of God, co-heirs of the Kingdom with Jesus, the Son of God. It’s what God intends for us: not to travel this life alone, but to have a community of believers who provide close friendships with one another to encourage us in our walk with Jesus.
What KFF’s about:
At Knightstown Family Fellowship, our goal is to feel relaxed, get recharged for the week, and to enjoy relating with others in our comfort zone, with a coffee in our hand! "Church" shouldn’t be a painful, uncomfortable, make-you-squirm experience. At KFF, we’re rewriting the definition of ‘church’ and creating something that’s brand new, different, innovative, and something that will work in the 21st century for a busy family who still wants to connect with God, with other believers, and who desires to provide godly instruction and teaching for their kids.
